Microneedling with Plasma or Dermaheal
Renew, Repair & Revitalise Your Skin
At Opal Skin Clinic, we combine advanced microneedling with targeted skin-rejuvenating treatments to help improve the appearance, texture and overall quality of your skin.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating the body's natural collagen and elastin production. When paired with plasma or Dermaheal, the treatment can provide an enhanced approach to skin renewal and hydration, leaving the complexion looking smoother, fresher and more radiant.

Microneedling with Plasma
Plasma-based treatments use components derived from your own blood, depending on the specific treatment protocol. These contain naturally occurring growth factors and proteins that can support the skin's natural repair processes.
Combined with microneedling, plasma can be used to target concerns such as:
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Uneven skin texture
- Dull or tired-looking skin
- Acne scarring and mild textural scarring
- Loss of firmness
- Overall skin rejuvenation

Microneedling with Dermaheal
Dermaheal is a professional skin-rejuvenation product containing a blend of peptides and other skin-supporting ingredients. When incorporated into a microneedling treatment, it is designed to deliver targeted ingredients to the skin while microneedling stimulates the skin's natural renewal process.
This combination may help improve the appearance of:
- Dehydrated or dull skin
- Fine lines
- Uneven texture
- Loss of elasticity
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Skin that appears tired or lacklustre
Why Choose Opal Skin Clinic?
At Opal Skin Clinic, every treatment begins with a personalised skin assessment. We consider your skin type, concerns and desired results before recommending the most appropriate approach.
Whether your goal is brighter, smoother, firmer or more youthful-looking skin, microneedling with plasma or Dermaheal can be tailored to your individual needs.
Results develop gradually as the skin undergoes its natural renewal process, with a course of treatments often recommended for optimal results.
Is microneedling suitable for me?
Microneedling is not suitable if you have:
- Keloid scarring or a history of skin scars
- Active acne or irritated skin
- Open wounds
- An active skin infection, or conditions such as eczema or psoriasis
- An unstable skin type
- Recent radiation therapy
If you have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medication, you may have a higher risk of bleeding during the treatment. Please tell us before your appointment.
Before your treatment
- You may need to stop acne medication or ibuprofen.
- You may need to stop topical retinoids or exfoliants, to reduce your skin's sensitivity.
After your treatment
- Stay hydrated.
- Expect minor discomfort and redness for a few days.
- Your skin may flake a little as it heals.
- Keep your skin clean to prevent infection. Stay away from swimming pools, rivers, lakes and the sea, and avoid soaps or lotions that may irritate.
- Let your skin heal before wearing make-up. Do apply sunscreen, as your skin may be more sensitive to the sun.
In the first week, avoid
- Make-up
- Sun exposure
- Skincare products containing retinol or AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids)
